Kuliah S2 di Bioteknologi SITH ITB itu campur aduk banget. Asik, seru, sulit, dan yang jelas sangat membentuk karakter untuk siap di dunia kerja. Dari segi tenaga dosen jadi inspirasi buat saya untuk memberikan yang terbaik buat negri. Dosen-dosennya asik di ajak diskusi, kita gak perlu malu atau sungkan karena mereka sangat terbuka untuk berbagi ilmu.Penguasaan materi sudah tidak perlu ditanya lagi karena mereka expert di bidangnya. Proses pembelajaran dalam kelas pun menyenangkan karena banyak diskusi dan kadang disisipkan gimmick gimmick sesuai materi yang dipelajari. Dari segi fasilitas, cukup ok walau harus ada beberapa perbaikan seperti penambahan alat lab untuk kepentingan pembelajaran dan penelitian mahasiswa.

Menempuh pendidikan master di Bioteknologi SITH ITB mempersiapkan saya untuk masuk dunia kerja dan juga untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang pendidikan lebih tinggi. Tidak hanya ilmu secara teori, namun pengalaman riset juga mendidik saya untuk berpikir kreatif dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Menurut saya lulusan program Bioteknologi akan sangat diperlukan di dunia industri dan riset semenjak produksi obat berbasis teknik “biosimilar dan protein engineering” saat ini sedang dijajaki perusahaan-perusahaan farmasi dan pusat – pusat riset di Indonesia. Para pendidik di SITH ITB juga merupakan para ahli di bidangnya sehingga ilmu yang disampaikan pun relevan dan sangat bermanfaat.

The Master of Biotechnology program at SITH-ITB, allowing students to gain a strong foundation in core science, laboratory skills and application of biotechnology itself. The program also exposed students to gain a deep understanding of the real world biotechnology field by examining current issues. a learning atmosphere able to develop my critical thinking. The lecturers and the teaching staff are very experienced and professional but also very kind and friendly. I feel very fortunate to be part of Biotechnology ITB.

The Biotechnology study program is the right place to sharpen the science related to biotechnology, because it is not only studying from a theoretical perspective, but we are directed to directly study the application of biotechnology in various sectors such as industry, medical and agriculture by inviting various professional guests in their fields, both national and international. In biotechnology, I learn to be more critical with many case studies provided to prepare me to become a professional, critical, solution and innovative graduate. The lecturers and teaching staff are very kind, friendly, open-minded, assertive and professional. I am very grateful to be able to learn a lot in biotechnology and I would like to thank all the lecturers and biotechnology staff who have led me to graduate to become a master of biotechnology.

Studying in SITH Biotechnology Department is an amazing experience. Departing from different studying atmosphere from my undergraduate study. I was forged to be able to compete and catch up the knowledge that was left behind, thus I could stand in this level. Absolutely, this accompanied by the qualified experience and knowledge from the lecturers and supervisors and also adequate facilities. By graduating from SITH ITB, I am confident to contribute in the biotechnology development and application especially those coming from our job in the future, then I can play a role in society by that experiences. The last but not least, I would like to thank my supervisors, lecturers, staff, and my beloved friends who have been patiently sharing the knowledge and supporting me during the study. For me, the Biotechnology study program in ITB is one of the best places in Indonesia to learn biotechnology. It offers you courses that are up to date with the fast development of the world’s biotechnology. Furthermore, in this program, you can have the opportunity to learn and experience studying at Osaka University-Japan through the double degree program. ITB students are smart and excellent. They try to find problems and solutions by themselves. We do not have any problems with their English proficiency. Double degree programs (DDP) between ITB Biotechnology Master Program and Osaka Univ Graduate School of Engineering Division of Biotechnology has been running successfully. In last a few yeasr, more than five ITB students have stayed at Osaka Univ to achieve their research products. Some of them were publised in prestigious journal and sometimes interviewed by international broadcasting. Meanwhile from Osaka Univ, two students enjoyed studying at ITB under great help by ITB professors and students. I really appreciate ITB’s cooperation. I do hope this DDP would continue and facilitate ITB-OU collaborations.

He shows a very good teamwork attitude, good curiousity & commitment for work & knows all the knowledge he needs to do an excellent work. We had some students join our research & some did day-trip program. Improving both sides knowledge, & came out with good collaborations & some good publications. (Biotechnology SITH Master Program) Always find ways to connect the students & or graduates with workplaces that have abilities to apply their knowledge, so they will always have mindset of getting applicable ideas in the future. Saat ini di EWINDO ada lebih dari 10 orang alumni Program Studi Bioteknologi SITH ITB yang terdistribusidi Divisi R&D dan Seed Operation, mereka bekerjadi bidang pemuliaan tanaman, laboratoriumhamadan penyakit, laboratorium bioteknologi maupun di laboratorium teknologi benih. Para alumni ini dengan pengetahuan dan keahlian yang dimilikinya melakukan berbagai inovasi dan pendekatan teknologi terbarukan untuk pengembangan varietas unggul. Berbasis pengetahuan biologi molekuler, dilakukan percepatan proses pemuliaan tanaman melalui kultur jaringan dan teknologi penanda gen, hal yang sama juga dilakukan untuk mendeteksi dan mengidentifikasi hama dan penyakit tanaman. Aplikasi Bioteknologi yang dilakukan dalam teknologi benih juga menjadi salah satu kekuatan yang mendukung EWINDO menghasilkan benih yang berkualitas unggul. Didukung oleh jaringan komunikasi para alumni dengan berbagai institusi pendidikan dan penelitian baik di dalam maupun di luar negeri, para alumni memiliki peluang untuk berkolaborasi positif dalam berbagai riset ilmiah. EWINDO memberikan kesempatan yang seluas-luasnya bagi lulusan Prodi Bioteknologi SITH ITB untuk tumbuh dan berkembang bersama EWINDO dalam membangun dan memajukan pertanianIndonesia. Semoga Program Studi Bioteknologi SITH ITB dapat terus mencetak para ahli di bidangnya dan menjadikan Indonesia menjadi salah satun egara yang terdepan dengan berbagai inovasi khususnya di bidang Bioteknologi.
