Biotechnology SITH ITB focuses on education and research with an emphasis on molecular/cell/tissue/system engineering and the addition of value to biological products through the application of the latest technology. Biotechnology students can develop research and analytical skills in 3 selected fields: medical, industrial and agricultural biotechnology. In addition, students also have the opportunity to join the double degree program with Osaka University. The internationalization activities are also carried out through guest lectures with expert speakers from different countries. Double Degree program with Osaka University. The educational process in the Biotechnology Study Program aims to produce graduates with high competencies, especially related to research topics carried out in the Final Project. The research topics carried out can be in the form of basic research with the target of publication in reputable journals, or advanced research that can be directly applied in related industries.

The Biotechnology Study Program is ready to further strengthen the educational process through research designed to answer global problems, through solutions that can be done locally or sourced from Indonesia's rich biodiversity. The Biotechnology Study Program also hopes to expand cooperation in the field of education/research with academia, industry, government, and the community. Let us together advance the development of Biotechnology as part of solutions in the fields of bioindustry, biomedicine, and agriculture.
