Research Experience

My research aims at identifying biomarkers of infected Elaeis guineensis Jacq. by Ganoderma boninense Pat. (Basal Stem Rot disease) in four different level of severities. This research involves metabolite extraction of infected Elaeis guineensis, preparation and measurement of samples using ¹H NMR instrument, and metabolomics as well as statistical data analysis using R programming language. This study also investigates the biochemical pathways that is infected by the disease. This research is very useful for early detection of the disease and in understanding its pathway

Skills

Plant Metabolite Extraction, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Analysis, DNA/RNA Extraction, PCR, Gel-Electrophoresis, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, statistical analysis (R and Python programming language), and basic bioinformatics software.
