Research Experience

My research focuses on screening of anionic biosurfactant producing bacteria and biosurfactant activity in adsorption of lead heavy metal ion (pb). This research was conducted to examine the activity of anionic biosurfactants in the adsorption process of Pb heavy metal ions. I improved biosurfactant production by optimizing media production using several wastes found overflow in Indonesia and biosurfactant-producing bacteria immobilization. Anionic biosurfactants have the ability to adsorb heavy metal ions. I used anionic biosurfactants to reduce heavy metal levels of Pb in Citarum river water and Rancaekek rice fields on a laboratory scale.
