Master by Research

ITB organizes a Master by Research (MBR) program with the aim of providing opportunities for young researchers/engineers in research institutions to continue their education and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of link and match research and partnerships between ITB, industry, and/or the government in the development of integrated research, without changing the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs).

Curriculum Adjustment

  • Structured Courses (16 credits)
  • Independent Courses (including research; 20 credits)

Implementation of lectures and research

  1. Structured lectures are carried out face-to-face or using other methods in accordance with applicable rules
  2. Independent lectures can be conducted outside the ITB campus and students who are already working can remain in their respective institutions
  3. The research can be carried out on the ITB campus or outside the ITB campus, for example in student work institutions (if available), while still being under the guidance of ITB lecturers assigned by the school/study program.

Graduation Requirements

Students of the MBR program can be declared to have completed the master program at ITB if they have:
